Vacasa was an irresponsible management company for this unit. They never advised us of the extent of maintenance on the building. We experienced major renovations while renting this unit every day of our visit. They knew well in advance that the building was having major outdoor maintenance done (pressure washing, scraping, painting of the building; balconies were unavailable for use - they had to come in and remove the furniture so they could work on the balconies staring at 8am through 6pm). We had heavy equipment outside our balconies (people actually on the balconies scraping and painting all week) running generators, bucket lifts, etc. I was in bed (in my pajamas) the first morning (at 8 am) to see the lift coming up with 4 people in it to work on our balconies (nobody telling us this was happening, so imagine my surprise!). Building 1 had scaffolding being constructed and moved throughout the week, saws cutting out parts of the building and replacing it with new boards/stucco/paint. It was loud.
Villamare management told me Vacasa receives weekly updates on happenings within Villamare. They knew of the construction/maintenance issues well in advance.) Needless to say, I contacted Vacasa and their reply was they are not in control of these issues; however, they were informed this work was happening and failed to pass the info along to renters. They take the money and disregard the comfort of renters. Never again will we rent from Vacasa.
Villamare is our favorite place to stay. We've been staying here for many years. First bad experience. We usually rent VRBO and this time it went through Vacasa vs. the owner.
The new Serenity Pool is very nice. It is a noise-free, kids-free zone. Very relaxing. The grounds are, as always, very well-maintained. All the staff we came in contact with are polite. The outside bathrooms have been renovated and are extremely clean.
